Our Approach to Self-Defense

We feel that everyone would benefit from martial arts training, for several reasons:

  1. It’s great exercise, and a wonderful stress reliever! You can burn up to 800 calories in a one-hour class, and you will have instructors and coaches to help you stay focused, keep you safe, and make sure you have a good time doing it.
  2. You will gain confidence. While we hope that you never have to use your self-defense skills, knowing how to defend yourself and your loved ones can increase your self-confidence tremendously.
  3. You will develop new friendships and contacts. And really, you can never have too many friends, right?

Our philosophy is to teach techniques you can use right away, from standing defenses to groundwork and grappling to weapons use and defenses. But while the subject of self-defense is a serious thing, we like to make sure classes are entertaining and fun.

We are so confident that you will enjoy our classes that if you decide this is just not for you and decide to drop classes in your first 30 days, we will refund 100% of your monthly tuition.
